October Blessings: Holding Close to What Lasts
Hello my sisters in Christ, Incredibly, we find ourselves in October, which really feels like pumpkin month because all of a sudden, pumpkins came out of nowhere and are decorating shops, offices and homes. I must confess that I cannot help but smile every time I see a pumpkin because I think of our very own Adelaida, who happens to be an avid pumpkin collector. With every gathering that our sisterhood has, I learn more and more about each of you. My sisters, you are all the

Changing Colors, Growing in Faith
Dear Sisters in Christ, Happy September! This blessed month is punctuated by beautiful feast days, such as the Exaltation of the Holy Cross on the 14th and one of my favorites, the Feast of the Three Archangels—Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael—on the 29th. Can you imagine a more power-packed day? St. Michael, the ultimate protector of our Church, protects us from the wickedness and snares of the devil. St. Gabriel is the messenger of God who brings the news of the Annunciation.

Finding God in the Busy
Dear Sisters in Christ, Happy August! I have missed you. August is a month that can barely contain all of its feast days. You name it, and it is pretty much in there! August 6 marks the Transfiguration of the Lord, and August 15 is the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Saints galore abound—from St. Augustine and St. Monica to St. Maximilian Kolbe and the Passion of St. John the Baptist. In a way, this probably encapsulates how many of you mommies are feeling right now—ba

Summer Is in Full Swing, My Sisters in Christ!
June brought us much joy as we dedicated the month to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. As July begins, we turn our hearts to honoring the Most Precious Blood of Jesus. Throughout this month, many of us ad d a red bead to our rosaries as a reminder of the precious sacrifice Christ made for us through the shedding of His blood. This July is especially meaningful in the United States, as our nation celebrates its 250th anniversary on Independence Day. It is a wonderful opportunity to

Motherhood, Mary, and the Journey to Christ
Dear Sister in Christ, Mother Mary’s month has arrived. Woot, woot! May brings the crowning of Mary as not only Christ’s mother but as our own mother as well. Our lady of Fatima, beloved in my home throughout my childhood, celebrates her feast day on the 13th. Many of us raised in the United States remember the expression, “April showers and May flowers;” and this brings an additional component of beauty to this month. Commercially, this month is also designated to celeb

✨Thank You for Being the Light ✨
Dear Sisters, It’s hard to believe that more than 24 hours have passed since our retreat, and I am still floating on a cloud. This experience has given new meaning to “being covered by Mommy Mary’s mantle,” a phrase my mother often used when I was a child. Whether it’s from the prayers and love you shared, or the light I now carry for each of you, one thing is certain, I feel aglow. And that means our retreat, “The Light,” truly fulfilled its purpose. Our retreat had 100 regi

A Season of Light: Living the Meaning of A-P-R-I-L
Dear Sisters, This weekend I was enjoying some quality time with my son and we were talking about the coming school year. Since he is an incoming Junior, I realize that his course selection becomes increasingly important. While listening to him, I heard him say that he is taking APES next year. Naturally, I asked him what that meant and apparently that acronym stands for A.P. Environmental Science. Go figure. During our talk; where I mostly listened, I learned many things fro

From Clover to Cross: Finding the Trinity in Lent
Vol. 1, Issue 2 Lent has begun, ladies! In this season, we reflect on our faith through a different lens and recalibrate ourselves with fasting, prayer, and almsgiving. That said, March is also packed with beautiful and blessed feast days, including St. Joseph, St. Patrick, and the Annunciation, to name a few. As I drive down the street, I see beautiful clover wreaths hanging upon the doors of people's homes. I used to think of clovers as lucky, and finding one, or what I tho

Welcome to the Columbus Faith Sisterhood Club!
Vol. 1, Issue 1 Ladies, what a blessed month to begin this newsletter! This month is dedicated to the Holy Family , with the Presentation of Jesus in the Holy Temple today February the 2nd.
